Ooops

He’s really not having a good month, is he? One wonders what on earth is going to happen now. Another 5 - 10 years of Labour, and the UK will be like France, where an aristocracy is replaced by a leftist, statist, authoritarian gabble of corrupt internationalists sipping Champagne while the plebs live in centrally planned hell. Business will gradually move out, and the ‘ruling elite’ will have to fall back on protectionism to try and save the day.

The conservatives just aren’t electable anymore. Their policies, such that we know about, are neither one thing or the other. One day we have IDS and his ‘one nation’ (i.e authoritarian, pro-state) policies, then we have Dave talking about a smaller state. However, he won’t grasp the nettle of our relationship with the EU, so any attempt he makes (assuming he is being genuine, and that’s a huge assumption) to reduce red tape and state control will be doomed.

The Fib Dems are the same old bunch of delusional and / or dishonest bastards, who would take us to the same place as Labour, only managing to insert the EU even further up our arse, and into our wallet. Oh, and anyone who dared to do something like, say, live in the countryside and actually farm, hunt or shoot might as well migrate.

UKIP look to be in serious trouble; having to rely on a single donor is never a good thing ~ libertarian policies would do well to survive that.

Less and less people appear to be willing to even register to vote, let alone turn up on the day. We are living in dangerous interesting times.
