Making things easy for terrorists

Some of you may recall the awful terror campaign waged against a Staffordshire farmer by animal rights terrorists. One of those convicted was Barry Saul Dickinson, who was passed vehicle registration numbers, and abused his position at the DVLA to match these to names and address. This information was then used by the terrorists to [...]

Who can police stop and search?

The Torygraph asks ‘Who can police stop and search?’.
‘Police can stop and search anybody they like provided they have reasonable suspicion (they used to be called ’sus’ laws) that they might have been involved in a crime.’
OK, anyone else?
‘This can include a belief that the individual is carrying an offensive weapon.’
Right, any more?
‘Police can also [...]

Prepare another lamp post….

‘In the James Callaghan Memorial lecture, Dr Williams challenged the argument that free speech must always prevail, saying that society had to protect the sensibilities of people who were not in a position to defend themselves.
“It is one thing to deny a sacred point of reference for one’s own moral or social policies; it is [...]

Pot, kettle, black

‘The leaders of Europe’s biggest economies have called on financial institutions to improve transparency in all their activities.’

And in other news, The Kray twins call for an end to ‘the unacceptable practice’ in East End London of being a bit naughty.

You couldn’t make it up.

Time to abandon Auntie

I have just been listening to BBC Radio 4’s ‘the world tonight’. The discussion was framed around Derek Conway and his dodgy son who was employed as his, erm, well, who the fuck knows. Conway is a first class shit who deserves hanging come the revolution, that is for sure.
However, I thought I may have [...]

Hang them all

The contempt the ruling class show their minions electorate is staggering. Via the Englishman, we have the Times reporting that the Home Office is openly touting ‘coercion’ to make non-compulsory ID cards compulsory by any other name. I have given my thoughts on this before, and am starting to wonder, during my darkest hours, if [...]

BBC? Subtle bias? Well tickle my b****cks

OK chaps, go and read this;
It contains such gems as;
Tower had reopened in defiance of the large-scale pit closure programme ordered by the Thatcher government following the year-long miners’ strike of 1984-5 - a strike in opposition to colliery shutdowns.
and….
Deputy first minister Ieaun Wyn Jones said the colliery had been “an inspiration”.
He added: “It is [...]

Run for the hills…

… the end is coming. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you…… Al Gore;

‘ Recent evidence shows “the climate crisis is significantly worse and unfolding more rapidly than those on the pessimistic side of the IPCC projections had warned us,” climate campaigner and former US vice-president Gore said.
There are now forecasts that the North Pole ice [...]

Gun crime

The telewag reports that ‘28 gun crimes committed in UK every day’, and has Fibber Chris Huhne quoted as saying ‘”Violent crime - including, most alarmingly, gun crime - is still far higher than 10 years ago and has to be tackled much more vigorously.”
Gosh, that’s not very good, is it? Perhaps we should think [...]

ID card to be non compulsory

….unless that is, you need to study, work, eat, shit, etc.
No ID card - no bank account. No bank account - no job. No job - no food, unless you sign on for benefits, that I suspect, will required ID cards, or become a student, that will require… yes, you’ve guessed it.

Story hat tip ; [...]
