Bollocks

A voluntary code of conduct for bloggers and internet commentators is supported by almost half of all internet users, a survey has claimed.

Sorry, but who on earth did they ’survey’? Last time this was muted, it was broadly slapped down, and withdrawn by O’Reilly (I believe). I’m with Longrider on this one ~ my house, my rules. If you don’t like it, then your free to leave and not return (which, if you look at my stats, frequently happens!).

I can see how this is going to work. Voluntary code today, another voluntary code with ISP’s to ‘protect the children’ or some such crap, that blocks blogs not signed up to the ‘voluntary code’, and bingo ~ the BBC / Nu Labour alliance dream of censoring the political internet becomes a reality, and the MSM collude to knock out the unwelcome competitor.

Fuck them, fuck their code.
